I Love You So F***ing Much - Glass Animals (Music Review)
Who on the younger side of the internet hasn’t heard Heatwaves by Glass Animals? I have. It’s a really fun song. Both the original one and the slowed down version too. TikTok provided me another avenue into Glass Animals with the song A Tear in Space (Airlock) being on my fyp for months now. A Tear in Space (Airlock) was the second single off their new album I Love You So F***ing Much.
Tracklist
Show Pony
I’ve heard snippets of this song on TikTok. I like this song. The way that ‘show pony’ is sung.
whatthehellishappening?
The sudden cut off at the end. Cuts off in the midst of the word ‘surprise’
Creatures in Heaven
the first single. I hadn’t realised that I have actually heard the intro before.
Wonderful Nothing
A snippet had been released a few days prior. I enjoyed the snippet. I don’t know if I enjoyed the whole song. It will probably grow on me.
A Tear in Space (Airlock)
The second single. I have fallen in love with this song. I can, have, and will continue to listen to this song multiple times in a row. I really like the bouncy punchy synth notes. The way ‘water’ is said during the chorus.
I Can’t Make You Fall in Love Again
Slightly more quieter than the previous tracks. makes sense for a song reminiscing on a past love.
How I Learned To Love The Bomb
The guitar was strummed. I thought that the song would pick up in speed in the chorus. The chorus was different from the verse which I think is what matters.
White Roses
I love the line ‘white roses in the red dirt’ and how its sung.
On the Run
The opening vocals may be missed heard as Shia LaBeouf. It reminds me of this video
I don’t think that’s what’s really being said in the vocals, but this video has been on my mind recently because of something a friend of mine said a few weeks ago.
Lost in the Ocean
Probably the slowest song on the album.
Final Thoughts
I like this album. I really liked White Roses, Show Pony, Creatures in Heaven and obviously A Tear in Space (Airlock). I’m pretty sure that most of the rest of the album will grow on me as I continue to listen to it.
